Fabrication and Welding Trades
Fabrication, structural and manufacturing operations across Brisbane. Experience shows in this trade family, and the rates follow it.

Qualified trades, trade assistant and shutdown work across Brisbane and QLD. Register once with Youngbrook and get called when work matching your ticket comes up, across labour hire, contract and permanent roles.
The best tradie jobs in Brisbane rarely sit on a job board for long, and plenty never get advertised at all. When a manufacturer needs a boilermaker for a six-week fabrication run, or a maintenance program needs fitters next Monday, the employer calls us, and we place from the tradespeople already registered with us.
That is the whole pitch of this page. Register once, tell us your trade, your tickets and what work you want, and you are in the pool that hears about those jobs first. Trade-qualified or working toward it, on the tools full time or picking up contract runs between commitments, we place across the range.
We fill labour hire, temporary, contract and permanent trades roles across Brisbane’s industrial corridor and project sites through QLD. And because we are a licensed labour hire provider, on temp placements you are employed by us: wages, super and insurance sorted.
Working across more than the tools? See everything we offer job seekers across Brisbane and Queensland.
60%
of our labour hire placements have transitioned into permanent appointments. Start on a contract run, and if the site suits you, the ongoing offer often follows.
Bridging paragraph: Trades covers everything from a first-year trade assistant to a coded welder with fifteen years behind them, and we place across that whole range. Whatever your ticket and experience level, these are the roles we fill regularly across Brisbane, and each one links to its own page with typical pay ranges for that role.

The way in without a completed trade. TA and labouring roles across workshops, maintenance crews and construction, where reliability and safety awareness open the door.
We also crew shutdowns, contract maintenance teams and project-based work across Brisbane and QLD. Shutdown crews are assembled from registered candidates first, so if you want shutdown work, flag it when you register.
Bridging paragraph: If you have always found work through mates or direct applications, an agency can seem like an unnecessary middle step. Here is exactly what happens between sending your resume and your first shift, so you can judge for yourself.
One submission covers every trades role we fill. Include your trade, tickets, licences and the work you are after.
We verify your qualifications, tickets and experience, and get clear on the sites and shifts that suit you.
When a role fits your ticket, you get the call. Take it or pass, no penalty either way.
On labour hire and temp placements Youngbrook employs you: wages, super and insurance are handled, and you work under the host site’s direction.

Most experienced tradies have a story about an agency that went quiet after the first call. So instead of promises, here is the practical version of what being registered with us gets you.
Employers come to us before they write an ad. Registered tradespeople hear about those roles first.
Your trade, tickets and preferences on file once. Considered for everything that fits, without re-applying.
Award-compliant rates with casual loading, overtime and penalties where they apply.
This is not a maybe. 60% of our labour hire placements have become permanent appointments. If the site suits you, the offer tends to follow.
Not sure whether your tickets get you onto a shutdown crew or what would lift your rate? We tell you straight.
A Brisbane team that knows the workshops, the projects and the employers. Not a portal that swallows resumes.

Send your resume and tell us your trade. We will tell you what we can place you into and what it pays.

These are the questions tradespeople and trade assistants ask us most. If yours is not covered, ask it when you submit your resume and we will answer it directly.
No. We place trade assistants and labourers as well as qualified trades. TA roles are a genuine pathway: site experience, safety exposure and a track record that counts when you go for your ticket.
It depends on the role. Most site-based work needs a White Card as a minimum. Licensed trades need the relevant trade qualification, and some roles add machinery tickets, EWP or confined space. Not sure what your tickets cover? Ask when you register.
Hourly rates on labour hire and temp placements often run higher than the permanent equivalent, with casual loading on top. Permanent roles trade some hourly rate for leave, stability and progression. We place both, so you can choose the structure that suits your situation.
You will find typical pay ranges on each role page, and our trades pay guide covers the full market picture.
Shutdown and turnaround programs are planned weeks ahead, and crews are assembled from registered candidates first. Flag your interest when you register and we will contact you when the next program is crewing.
Often. 60% of our labour hire placements have transitioned into permanent appointments. Employers use contract runs to see you on the tools, and good tradespeople get kept.
Yes, if you hold recognised qualifications and the right tickets for the role. We place visa holders regularly. See our working holiday visa jobs page for how it works.
