Workshop Supervisor

Purpose built Brisbane North location

Leadership role that will have your reporting directly to the business owner

With a strong pedigree in manufacturing and now with their third location up and running on Brisbane’s Northside, this operation has capacity for volume-based batch manufacturing of custom designed products, as well as delivering custom machining for one-off speciality projects.

With a continual investment in the latest machining technology and cutting processes, you will work alongside a team that designs, programs and runs a series of machining centres, lathes and mills, allowing for the continuous production of repetitive part and component manufacturing and custom machining.

This Permanent Appointment will see you engaged in a lead role where you will be organising, working alongside and providing the manufacturing team with the opportunity to enjoy stable and secure employment by enhancing their skill-set through training, and lifting productivity and quality through effective supervision and your passion for service delivery to ensure this business continues to lead from the front.

To ensure your success you should be Trade Qualifications and experienced in:

• Knowledge of insert grades
• Edgecam knowledge an advantage
• Understanding of machining cycle times
• Feature-based programming
• 4 Axis Machining
• ISO Programming
• Fanuc Controls
• Horizontal Machine Centre
• Supervision of staff to achieve successful day to day operational targets
• Workflow and planning
• Safe work practices
• Tool management
• Maintain maintenance planning of machines
• High-Risk work license with LF endorsement
