The 2018 EKKA public holiday is coming up! Do you have plans for People’s Day also know as the Brisbane Show Day?
Well you do now! Win an Ekka Family Pass to spend the public holiday at the Ekka on Wednesday 15th August 2018 for Brisbane City residents or Monday 13 August 2018 for Queensland’s regional areas.

 
 
To Enter the Ekka Competition:

1. Tell us your best reason for a public holiday to WIN an EKKA Family Day Pass valued at $80.
2. Tag the people you would take with you to the Ekka in our Facebook or Instagram Ekka competition posts.
 
The Ekka Competition winner will be judged based upon individual creative merit.

Ekka Competition (Game of Skill) – Terms and Conditions

1. 1. The Ekka Competition is being run by Youngbrook Recruitment Pty Ltd (ABN 78 1222 019 69) whose office is at Level 1, 122 Lytton Road, Bulimba QLD 4171.
2. 2. Entries and information on prizes and how to enter form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entries not completed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions are ineligible. Entry in this Competition will be deemed as acceptance of the terms and conditions.
3. 3. Entry is open to Queensland residents aged 18 years and older at the time the competition is drawn.
4. 4. Permanent staff of Youngbrook Recruitment and their immediate family members are ineligible to enter.
5. 5. The Competition commences on Tuesday, 17 July 2018 at 8.30am AEST.
6. 6. The Competition closes on Thursday, 9 August 2018 at 8.30am AEST. Entries received outside of this time period will not be considered.
7. 7. To be eligible to enter you must:
   a) Tag the people you would take with you to the Ekka in our Facebook or Instagram Ekka competition posts.
   b) In the comments of the post, tell us your best reason for a public holiday.
8. 8. The prize is worth a value of $80 and is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. The prize will be awarded to the successful entrant in the form of a Ekka Family Day Pass that is limited to only the entry of the Ekka. All costs associated with the prize which are not specified to be included in the prize, including but not limited to any travel costs, meals, accommodation, rides, taxes, insurance and other ancillary costs, are the responsibility of the winner and their companion(s). The Promoter is not responsible for any cancellation, delay or rescheduling of flights and any costs incurred as a result (including without limitation, accommodation costs) will be the sole responsibility of the winner. The prize is only valid for the duration of the EKKA 2018.
9. 9. This competition is a game of skill. Therefore, chance plays no part in determining the winner. Instead each entry will be individually judged by Youngbrook Recruitment, based upon individual creative merit. The winner will be selected on Thursday, 9 August 2018 at Youngbrook Recruitment’s Brisbane Office at Level 1, 122 Lytton Road, Bulimba QLD 4171.
10. 10. All entries must be an independent creation by the entrant and free of any claims that they infringe any third party rights. Entries must not have been published previously and/or have been used to win prizes in any other competitions.
11. 11. All entries become and remain the property of the promoter.
12. 12. The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which, in the opinion of the judges, includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, nudity, potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory images or language. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
13. 13. By entering into the Competition you give consent to Youngbrook Recruitment to publicise the name of winner on the Internet and print media.
14. 14. A person can only enter one time per Competition period. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted.
15. 15. The successful entrant will be notified in writing, prompting them to contact Youngbrook Recruitment to claim the prize. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize by the end of the Ekka event (19th August 2018), we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner.
16. 16. The winner will be sent the prize via an email address provided by the winner when they are contacted by Youngbrook Recruitment or can be collected from the Youngbrook Recruitment Brisbane office (Level 1, 122 Lytton Road, Bulimba).
17. 17. The winner may be required to take part in promotional activities related to the Competition. The winner consents to Youngbrook Recruitment using the winner’s photograph, film and voice for an unlimited time in promotion on the internet, without additional compensation or prior notice.
18. 18. No responsibility can be accepted for late, lost, or misdirected entries or prizes.
19. 19. Any costs associated with entering and participating in the Competition remains the responsibility of each entrant.
20. 20. The prize winner acknowledges that the prize may be subject to the standard terms and conditions of the individual prize supplier and may be subject to additional terms and conditions imposed by third parties. Youngbrook Recruitment does not accept any responsibility and is not liable for any additional conditions imposed on the taking of the prize by third parties, or for the breach of those conditions by any person. The acceptance of the prize creates a relationship between the prize winner and the individual prize supplier(s) and the Promoter is not responsible for, and accepts no liability in relation to, any loss, damage or claim that may be incurred by the prize winner as a result of the prize winner’s decision to accept the prize.
21. 21. The Promoter and the directors, management, employees and other staff of the Promoter and its related entities (Promoter’s Agents) will not be liable for any loss or damage or for any personal injury sustained as a result of taking the prize(s) or entering into this competition.
22. 22. The Promoter’s decision regarding all matters to do with the Competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
23. 23. Youngbrook Recruitment shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to amend or change these terms and conditions without limiting any other paragraph and subject to applicable laws, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.
24. 24. Youngbrook Recruitment reserves the right to cancel the Competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
25. 25. Youngbrook Recruitment acknowledges that the Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram.
