Production planners are responsible for translating demand into executable production schedules, balancing material availability, manufacturing capacity and customer commitments across daily and weekly planning horizons. The role sits close to production scheduling in function, but typically operates at a broader planning level — managing medium to long-term capacity, supporting S&OP processes and feeding into procurement and inventory decisions.

Demonstrated experience in a production planning or supply chain planning role within a manufacturing environment is the baseline for all placements.
ERP and Systems Proficiency
Hands-on ERP experience at a planning level is required. SAP, MYOB Advanced, Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics are the most common in Brisbane’s manufacturing sector. Candidates who have only used ERP at an operational or data entry level are screened accordingly.
Analytical Capability
