Hire Production Planners in Brisbane

A production plan that works on paper is one thing. One that holds up against material shortages, machine downtime and shifting customer priorities is another. This page covers what production planners do across Brisbane's manufacturing sector, what the role pays and how Youngbrook places planners with the systems knowledge and operational instinct to manage both.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Production planners are responsible for translating demand into executable production schedules, balancing material availability, manufacturing capacity and customer commitments across daily and weekly planning horizons. The role sits close to production scheduling in function, but typically operates at a broader planning level — managing medium to long-term capacity, supporting S&OP processes and feeding into procurement and inventory decisions.

In Brisbane, production planners work across food and beverage manufacturing, building and construction products, industrial supply and consumer goods businesses. It’s a role that rewards people who are analytically strong, comfortable working with ERP systems and capable of making clear decisions when information is incomplete or demand changes without warning.

Our manufacturing and trades recruitment guide covers why planning and operations roles are among the more competitive to fill in Brisbane’s manufacturing sector.
