Hire Assemblers in Brisbane

Good assemblers do more than put parts together. They read a drawing, follow a sequence, catch an error before it becomes a defect and maintain quality across a full shift. This page covers what the role involves across Brisbane's manufacturing sector, what it pays and how Youngbrook places assemblers who are accurate, reliable and ready to work.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Assemblers are responsible for building, fitting or joining components, parts or subassemblies into finished or semi-finished products. The work varies significantly depending on the industry. In furniture and building products manufacturing it’s largely physical, working with timber, hardware and fixings. In electronics, automotive and industrial equipment manufacturing it requires finer dexterity, reading of technical drawings and familiarity with torque specifications and assembly sequences.

In Brisbane, assemblers are employed across building and construction products, industrial equipment, furniture manufacturing, electronics and automotive repair sectors. The role suits people who are methodical, take quality seriously and find satisfaction in producing something tangible at the end of every shift.

Our manufacturing and trades recruitment guide covers why experienced production staff in Brisbane are harder to find than most job ads suggest.

Pay Rates for Assemblers in Brisbane

The Australian average for production assemblers sits at around $32.75/hr, with Brisbane rates broadly in line with that figure for standard assembly roles. Work involving higher complexity, precision components or technical drawings typically attracts rates toward the upper end of the range.

The Manufacturing Award sets the casual base at $30.35/hr from 1 July 2025, inclusive of the 25% casual loading. Afternoon and night shift penalties push take-home rates above the day rate. Permanent assembler roles exist in stable production environments where product knowledge and consistency justify direct employment.
