Workshop Assistant

Monday to Thursday 5.00am to 3.40pm

Best known for their advanced machining techniques and manufacturing excellence, this privately held company is looking to add another Trade Assistant to their engineering workshop team that can support the operation with:

  • Assist with the post manufacturing deburring processes of machined components
  • Assisting the Production Team with the preparation of materials in readiness for the precision machining processes
  • Final preparation of machined parts in readiness for final QC check and dispatching to customers

To ensure your success

  • You will demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and a steady hand to remove excess metal from the machined products
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to deliver on manufacturing outcomes to meet customer order delivery timelines
  • Hold a forklift Licence (LF) or be open to obtaining the licence as your role develops

What We’re Looking For:

💼 The Role

  • Job Type: Full-time (Minimum 38 hrs/week)
  • Location: Based in South Brisbane – servicing Brisbane, Gold Coast & Sunshine Coast
  • Pay Rate: $40/hour + penalties
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Shifts: Mix of days, nights, weekends & after-hours (penalty rates apply)
  • Start each shift at the South Brisbane depot before heading to job sites

🧹 Key Responsibilities

  • Operate various industrial sweepers:
    1. Mechanical broom sweepers
    1. Vacuum street sweepers
    1. Regenerative-air sweepers
  • Conduct pre-start equipment checks and follow safety procedures
  • Clean large sites including warehouses, car parks and commercial areas
  • Transport sweepers using a company truck

What You’ll Need

  • Demonstrated experience operating sweepers (Tennant, mechanical broom, vacuum or regenerative-air)
  • MR or HR Licence (essential for equipment transport)
  • White Card (mandatory)
  • Steel cap boots and PPE (branded work shirts provided)
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends and flexible shifts
  • Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical + drug & alcohol screening
    (Ongoing random testing applies)
