ABOUT THIS ROLE
Storepersons are responsible for the receipt, storage, dispatch and accurate recording of goods within a warehouse or distribution environment. The role sits between physical warehouse operations and inventory management. It requires someone who is organised, methodical and pays attention to detail across every movement of stock.
In Brisbane, storepersons work across wholesale distribution, manufacturing, construction supply, automotive parts, healthcare and general warehousing operations. Key responsibilities
- Receiving inbound goods, checking quantities and condition against purchase orders and delivery documentation
- Putting away stock accurately to designated warehouse locations
- Picking and preparing outbound orders for dispatch in line with customer requirements
- Performing cycle counts, stocktakes and reconciling variances against system records
- Maintaining accurate stock records in WMS or inventory management systems
- Managing returns, damaged goods and quarantine stock in line with site procedures
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment where licenced
- Keeping storage areas clean, safe and organised in line with WHS requirements
What we screen for
- Demonstrated experience in a storeperson, warehouse or inventory role
- Accuracy and attention to detail in receiving, put-away and dispatch processes
- WMS or inventory system experience. Relevant platforms include SAP, MYOB, Pronto, Fishbowl or similar.
- RF scanning experience. Most Brisbane warehouse operations use it.
- Forklift licence (LF or LO). Required on many sites and strongly advantageous.
- Reliable attendance and a track record of taking ownership of stock accuracy
- Physical fitness for a role that involves regular manual handling and equipment operation
Licenses and Tickets
