We are recruiting for a Workshop Labourer for a well established Brisbane manufacturer. This is a hands on role in a busy steel workshop with a huge pipeline of work.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Working off job drawings to sort and check in steel beams for each job
- Cleaning up beams with grinders and sanding gear to get them ready
- Oxy cutting slots into beams
- Prepping for paint, wire wheeling and sanding rust back to bare steel
- Spray painting finished beams
- General workshop duties and keeping your area tidy
About You:
- Previous workshop or labouring experience
- Comfortable with repetitive work in a hot and dirty environment
- Good attention to detail when working off drawings
- Must be clean shaven, as the role requires wearing a respirator with proper seal
- Forklift ticket is a huge bonus but not essential
No formal qualifications needed. Full training is provided for the right person.
