Job Summary

  • Acacia Ridge, Brisbane QLD
  • Production, Planning & Scheduling (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)
  • Full time

Your Next Step Forward Starts Now

Are you an Inventory Controller who has worked your way up through manufacturing, warehouse, production or supply chain operations and now wants the opportunity to take ownership of inventory in a business where your practical experience will genuinely make a difference?

This is an excellent hands-on operational role that will see you join a medium-sized manufacturing business with a national supply footprint, servicing the building and construction, civil construction and bespoke project sectors.

Lets Walk Forward Together

This opportunity sits squarely within a practical production environment. Initially, you will work with a combination of manual processes, Excel-based planning, physical stock verification and day-to-day operational coordination.

As you settle into the role and understand how the business operates, you will be encouraged to identify better ways of working, improve stock visibility, strengthen reporting and help make manual processes more efficient or redundant where possible.

This role is critical to supporting a Just-in-Time manufacturing and supply model, ensuring materials are available when required, production schedules are supported, and customer orders can be fulfilled accurately and on time.

Your Day to Day and the Bigger Picture

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and improving inventory control across raw materials, WIP and finished goods with overall input across:

  • Forecasting raw material requirements based on consultative sales demand, production needs and inventory levels
  • Coordinating imported raw materials, including communication with overseas suppliers, freight providers and shipping agents
  • Monitoring stock movements to ensure continuity of supply and minimise production interruptions
  • Calling forward materials in line with production requirements and storage capacity
  • Maintaining appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels, reorder points and inventory controls
  • Performing daily cycle counts and coordinating monthly stocktakes
  • Investigating stock discrepancies, variances and production recovery inconsistencies
  • Supporting daily and weekly production schedules based on demand, available stock and customer priorities
  • Working closely with production, warehouse, dispatch, sales and customer service teams
  • Ensuring stock locations, quantities and movements are accurate and traceable
  • Identifying practical improvements to inventory systems, reporting and procedures
  • Helping evolve inventory processes as the business continues to grow

Lets Get Started if this Sounds Like You

This role is ideal for someone who has grown their career through exposure to manufacturing, warehouse, production, inventory or supply chain operations and is now ready to step into a role with greater ownership.

Experience with imported raw materials and international suppliers will be highly regarded, but your practical manufacturing background, attention to detail and ability to improve processes will be key to your success.

Why This Role?

This is not a role where you are simply maintaining an existing system. It is a genuine opportunity to step into a growing manufacturing business, understand how the operation works from the ground up, and help shape more effective inventory controls for the future.

You will be valued for your ability to combine practical manufacturing experience with accuracy, initiative and continuous improvement.

If you are looking for a role where you can take ownership, work closely with operational teams, support production flow and help move the business from manual processes to smarter systems, this opportunity is well worth pursuing.
