Effectively plan and organise work flow

Reporting directly to the Managing Director who is executing exciting contracts and expansion plans across three locations, is motivated to appoint an Engineer who not only can design and generate manufacturing drawings using inventor but can lead and build the businesses quality system further.

This lead role will best suit an Engineer who is driven to deliver results across engineering and the business, a demonstrated self-starter who is motivated and experienced to take ownership of but not limited to;

Design hydraulic manifolds and hydraulic cylinders using Inventor
Generate manufacturing drawings
Generation of customer estimates and quotes
Be experienced in planning, work flow, machine times
Set up and monitor KPI’s to monitor business operations, costs, work flow and Return-on-investment
Lead and further enhance the Quality Management System ensuring the system is kept up to date and that all quality compliance checks, policy, procedure and processes are followed and enhanced as required

Reporting to the Technical and Manufacturing Manager and when engaged and fully operational in the capacity of Electronics Engineer your role outline will have you responsible for:

Design and detail products as specified by the Technical and Manufacturing Manager
Liaise and assist the QC Department with Evaluation of Product Quality Issues and Improvements
To review existing detail drawings and ensure they reflect accurately the products being manufactured and purchased
To use standard Engineering practices to ensure that any product designed, manufactured or purchased meets the appropriate regulatory requirements and standards
To manage projects as specified from concept to off tool sample approval including communication with suppliers and authorities as appropriate
To establish and maintain a project plan, agree on milestones to allow all interested parties accurate information on project status
To provide detailed updates to the Technical and Manufacturing Manager as to the progress of projects
To propose as appropriate systems to be used by the Engineering Department in drawing control, distribution and software to ensure the company maintains the highest professional technical level
To assist the Technical and Manufacturing Manager with international projects and suppliers to ensure quality and conformance to drawings and specifications
To continue to assist the Technical and Manufacturing Manager create a first-class technical department which is the industry leader in product development and innovation
