Manufacturing Plant Shutdown
This opportunity is with a well-established Australian manufacturing group recognised for its innovative, sustainable and high-performing building products used across Australia and New Zealand.

outcomes. Weekly payroll, strong on-site leadership and a supportive team culture are key features of this project.
Shutdown Details
- Shutdown Start Date: Saturday, 20 December 2025
- Shutdown End Date: 11 January 2026
- Plant Location: Coopers Plains – Western Suburbs
- Shift: Day Shift (10-hour days), excluding Public Holidays
Work Scope
You will be assisting Mechanical Fitters with repairs and maintenance of fixed plant equipment, including:
- Replacing bearings and chains on drives and conveyors
- Assisting with gearbox repairs and oil changes
- Removing equipment for overhaul and reinstalling post-service
- Supporting pneumatic repairs, including fixing leaks and replacing components
This role suits hands-on Trade Assistants who are comfortable working in shutdown environments and supporting mechanical teams across varied plant activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Trade Assistant across mechanical or industrial applications
- Ability to assist safely and efficiently in a shutdown environment
- Availability for the full shutdown period is essential
- Strong work ethic, reliability and commitment to site safety
Pay & Conditions
Pay Schedule: Weekly pay, deposited directly into your nominated bank account.
